The garden has been planted and needs lots of water!   We need one volunteer each day to water and optionally weed.

BONUS - You may harvest anything marked for volunteers during the week that you sign up.  Please remember to share with the other families.

Watering- water the raised beds and native plants around the perimeter of the garden. If it is raining or has rained, you may skip that day. The water is on a timer that is on from 6:00am-6:00pm, M-F.

Weeding (optional) - please pull the weeds from the garden paths (there is a handy tool in the shed). Native beds on the border of the garden need to be weeded along with the garden beds. Check the sign on the shed for more directions.

Hose Instructions:

To water the garden, open the mailbox on the side of the shed. The code for the lock is "READ" and inside you will find the pipe you need to hook the hose into the waterline. The hookup is behind the shed next to the composter. The hose is on the ground next to the box. If for some reason the box has been pushed down, there is a screwdriver in the mailbox you can use to pop it open.

Hook the hose onto the gold pipe, then open the purple top in the box. The pipe is a key that fits into the waterline. Simply put the key in and gently turn the pipe. You will feel and hear the water turn on. When you are done roll the hoses back up, turn off the water and put all of the tools back into the mailbox and lock it.
